A return to the Malay Peninsula for our intrepid brethren, in a search for gold sovereigns lost by the fall of Singapore during World War II.

In a classic "needle in a haystack" exercise, Biggles, Ginger and Bertie manage to find the sovereigns, uncovering a forgotten Japanese soldier along the way. They also fall foul of Burmese customs, a Chinese pearl dealer and a one-legged tiger. However, as always, the team prevail, finding and retrieving the sovereigns in under 200 pages!
