Biggles Pioneer Airfighter is another collection of stories of Biggles during the First World War. In the same vein as 'Biggles of 266' and 'Biggles of the Camel Squadron' this collection of events whilst in 266 squadron provide a fascinating insight into how the first aerial war was fought.

• The Carrier - Biggles intercepts a carrier pigeon and saves the life of the Allied spy who sent it. He also receives his MC during the tale.
• Spads and Spandaus - Biggles helps educate some recent American arrivals on the ways of the war in the air.
• The Zone Call - Biggles misses out on a big decoy operation and instead disrupts a surprise attack by calling in the artillery on the hidden soldiers.
• The Decoy - Batty falls victim to a German decoy and Biggles promises revenge.
• The Boob - Algy joins the team, and immediately shows his mettle in the air.
• The Battle of Flowers - War is sought over the destruction of Algy's sunflower.
• The Thought Reader - Biggles uncovers a spy signalling by using wheat sheaves (story also in Camel Squadron)
• Biggles Finds his Feet - Biggles is stuck on the ground and repels an entire German attack in order to save a friend stuck in No Mans Land (story also in Camel Squadron)
• The Bomber - Biggles needs to redesign his Camel in order to successfully attack a well-armoured German bomber.
• On Leave - forced to take leave in England, Biggles is bored rigid until he manages to find some German bombers to attack.
• Fog! - Biggles lands to escape from fog and uncovers a german gas dump and an allied spy who'd been searching for it.
• Affaire de Coeur - Biggles meets his love, Marie Janis, and loses her almost immediately when she is unmasked as a spy.
• The Last Show - Biggles gets shot down and captured, only to find the war ended 20 minutes earlier and he's free to go. He also receives his promotion to Major.
