Biggles and the Poor Little Rich Boy finds the team chasing after a kidnapped boy who does not even know he is kidnapped.

Carlo is the only son of the oil tycoon Rosario Salvatore. After being closeted away from everything by his over-protective father, Carlo jumps at the chance of adventure when Cesare Paolo lands a plane at the Salvatore's private fishing lake and takes off with him. What follows is a dash to, and around, Scotland, with Cesare (answering to the name of Cornelli) trying to sate Carlo's love of fishing whilst organising a ransom payment from his father. To complicate matters, Cesare has double-crossed another criminal, Viper, who joins the chase with Biggles and Co to try and find the boy.

Another classic role for Bertie joinging the team solely in order to make stupid suggestions. As he himself says: "Why is it my schemes never seem to work?". Maybe it's because they are stupid.
