Biggles Takes a Hand has the team working on a tip-off from Erich Von Stalhein to thwart the assination plans of a group of East German mercenaries. These mercenaries come to London to erase the family of a Berlin politician who is believed to be carrying some incriminating evidence.

In identifying and then protected the family the team spend a great deal of time trying to track them down, both in Berlin and the UK. Eventually contact is made via a family friend living in the country. The team get holed up there with the bad guys in the woods, prior to a final showdown, shootout and very short car chase. Once the bad guys are safely dispatched the family in question appear at a local police station, and all is once again well with the world.
